1. About Us

Trung Nam Ca Na International Port Joint Stock Company (TNCNP) extends our sincere greetings and heartfelt thanks to all valued customers and partners.

On February 17, 2023, the Vietnam Maritime Administration officially announced the opening of Berth 1A at Trung Nam Ca Na International Port under Decision No. 171/QĐ-CHHVN. The port is located in Thuong Diem 2 Village, Phuoc Diem Commune, Thuan Nam District, Ninh Thuan Province, and is invested by TNCNP — a member of Trungnam Group.

The port covers a total area of 85.52 hectares, comprising two berths with a total length of 600 meters. It features a 3.35-kilometer navigational channel with a depth of 16 meters, capable of accommodating vessels up to 100,000 DWT. With a designed capacity of over 10 million tons per year and a charted depth of up to 16.78 meters at the berth, Trung Nam Ca Na International Port is positioned to become one of the largest seaports in the South Central Coastal region of Vietnam.

2.1. Anchorage Area

The anchorage area is defined by the following four coordinates:

2.2. Channel

  • Channel Depth: -16.07 m (referenced to nautical chart datum)
  • Channel Length: 1.8 nautical miles
  • Channel Width: 200 meters
  • Average Tide Range: 1.5 meters

2.3. Turning Basin

  • Depth: -13.16 m (referenced to nautical chart datum)
  • Turning Basin Diameter: 570 meters, centered at 11°18'41.56"N 108°54'41.22"E

2.4. Berths

Berth No. 1A

  • Location: 11°18'54.5"N 108°54'49.0"E
  • Wharf Length: 352.84 meters
  • Depth at Berth: -11.4 meters (referenced to nautical chart datum)
  • Vessel Capacity: 50,000 DWT (for general cargo and container vessels) with a maximum draft ≤ 10.77 meters & 100,000 DWT (for bulk carriers) with a maximum draft ≤ 10.58 meters.

Berth No. 1B is under development and is expected to be operational by June 2027.

 

 

3. Cargo Handling Capacity

Bulk Cargo Handling:

  • Stone, Sand (operations with truck-to-ship using conveyors): 6,000 – 7,000 tons/day
  • Salt (operations with truck-to-ship using conveyors): 2,000 – 2,500 tons/day
  • Dry Ash (operations with truck-to-ship via direct pipe pumping): 3,000 – 6,000 tons/day
  • Wet Ash (operations with truck-to-ship using grab cranes): 5,000 – 5,500 tons/day

Bagged Cargo Handling:

  • Jumbo Bagged Cement (2 tons per bag) (operations with truck-to-ship and ship-to-truck): 2,800 – 3,200 tons/day
  • Salt (operations with truck-to-ship using hoists): 1,000 – 1,200 tons/day

General Cargo Handling:

  • Palletized Bricks, Granite Stones (operations with truck-to-ship): 800 – 950 tons/day
  • Steel Products (operations with truck-to-ship): 1,500 – 2,000 tons/day
